On Monday, April 18, 2022 at 3:00 PM ET, some customers were reporting degraded performance connecting to a third party program providing e-sign services.
With the approaching 1040 deadline, we and agencies are experiencing extremely high e-filing volume. You may experience longer wait times for acknowledgements (ACKs) from the Electronic Filing Center (EFC), the IRS, and states.
We recommend that you transmit e-files early (don't wait until the deadline) and often (not in large batches) during this period, as ACKs may take longer to post.
To check the status of an e-filed return, complete the following steps:
Customers submitting a return containing Form 7004, Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File Certain Business Income Tax, Information, and Other Returns, may have received the following rejection message from the IRS.

Customers who file a return which should include Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit, may receive the following Reject Code, F8962-070:
“The e-File database indicates that Form 8962 or a binary attachment with description containing "ACA Explanation" must be present in the return.”
