The IRS has announced an upcoming extended maintenance window for their MeF Production and Testing Systems on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 12:01 am ET until Sunday, September 24, 2023 5:00 pm ET.

During this time you will be able to continue transmitting your returns to our Electronic Filing Center (EFC); however, we will be unable to send to the IRS or retrieve acknowledgements (acks) until the MeF system is back online.

Central Office Manager (COM) Scheduled Maintenance - May 24, 10 PM EST

 The TaxWise team will be performing overnight scheduled maintenance on the dates/times below. Maintenance is scheduled to begin around 10pm ET and may last until 2am ET. Customers will be unable to access COM during the maintenance window.

IRS Modernized e-File (meF) Extended Scheduled Maintenance

 The IRS has announced an extended scheduled maintenance window on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 12:01 AM until 11:00 AM EST.  During this time, the IRS will be unable to receive transmitted e-files. 

You will still be able to transmit your returns to us; however, any Federal or State returns transmitted between Saturday, March 19, 2022, 11:59 PM and Sunday, March 20, 2022, 12 Noon EST will be held at the Electronic Filing Center (EFC) until the IRS systems are back online.

TaxWise Online Update: Scheduled Maintenance - December 30, 2021

As part of a scheduled maintenance release to prepare for the upcoming Tax Season, please be advised that the TaxWise team will be updating the TaxWise Online application during the evening of Thursday, December 30, 2021 starting at 10pm ET.

The update will take less than an hour and during the scheduled maintenance TaxWise Online will be unavailable.

IRS News: Scheduled Maintenance for the Modernized e-File (MeF) Production System

Please be advised that the MeF Production System will be unavailable for business e-File submissions from 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, November 27, 2021.

During this time you can still transmit returns to the Electronic Filing Center (EFC) and we will hold the e-files until the IRS restores service. You will not receive any acks during this time.
